| Dear new students, I am Professor Ko Wing Hung, Associate Vice-President and the University Dean of Students. Welcome to The Chinese University of Hong Kong! Congratulations! You are now a member of the University to embark on a new chapter in life. In the next few years, I hope you will take full advantage of your time at the CUHK to learn and enjoy the University life. I sincerely hope that all of you will support and care for each other in the exciting journey ahead. Let’s join hands to create a caring, diversified and inclusive campus. To mark the beginning of your journey at the CUHK, I cordially invite you to participate in the Inauguration Ceremony for Undergraduates on Monday, 7 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sir Run Run Shaw Hall.
