Campus Recruitment and Placement Activities
The Centre provides a variety of recruitment and placement services throughout the year, including recruitment talks, roadshows, theme-based careers fairs, and online job portals, such as CU Job Link and the Joint Institution Job Information System (JIJIS). Through these services, you can explore a variety of job opportunities, from part-time jobs and local, Mainland and international internships to graduate positions. You can also understand employers’ expectations of job seekers and prospective employees, as well as the career prospects of various industries. The Centre also administers ranging internship programmes, such as HKSAR Government initiatives including the Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme, Administrative Service Summer Internship Programme, and ITC STEM Internship Scheme. These programmes offer students valuable hands-on experience in the public sector and the technology field respectively.
Career Guidance and Enrichment Programmes
Career guidance programmes aim at supporting students in establishing a strong professional foundation. Following the self-driven learning framework – students are encouraged to join training programmes and industry talks that fit their needs and career development stages to keep abreast of the evolving job market trends. Try out personality assessments to understand individual’s potential and prepare for the career journey ahead. Inspired by the education programmes, students can also explore other career pathways such as pursuing further studies or starting own business.
Global Internship Programme (GIP) aims to provide students with opportunities to gain work experiences in cities across Chinese Mainland and around the world, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Berlin, Cape Town, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, New York City, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto. Through internships lasting a minimum of four weeks, students can enhance their language and interpersonal skills, develop workplace exposure, and broaden their horizons—all contributing to their personal growth and career development.
Career Counselling Services and Resources
The Centre provides one‑on‑one career coaching through connecting you with experienced human resources executives and professionals with international work experience. The service covers career direction exploration, CV writing, interview skills, and other job‑search guidance, helping you develop personalized career planning and employment support.
A wealth of online resources is provided such as FirstHand and Graduate First to keep yourself abreast of the latest job market information and equip yourself with essential employment skills. AI-Powered Job Portal has also been introduced in our website to transform your career journey. The platform features an AI Resume Builder (Job and CV 360) that assists you to craft professional CVs tailored to your unique profiles, along with smart job matching that recommend you with job opportunities based on individuals’ skills and aspirations. You can also practice and polish interview skills through our Mock Video Interview system (Tellus), which provides comprehensive AI feedback on interview performance.
